Reggie N Bollie dropped from Simon Cowell’s Syco record label #UK

X Factor 2015 runners-up, Reggie N Bollie have been dropped from Simon Cowell’s record label after a mere two single releases. The label reportedly made the decision because the pair ‘struggled to turn their support into record sales’, according to The Sun.

The Ghanaian music duo consisting of Reggie Zippy and Bollie Babyface announced they will continue to make music independently.

A source told the newspaper: ‘They have worked really hard for the last year but their relationship with Syco didn’t work out and they wanted different things.

‘Their music was very poppy and chart-focused but now they want to focus on a different style.’

Confirming the news, a Syco spokesperson said: ‘Reggie ‘n’ Bollie are no longer working with us. We wish the guys the best of luck for the future.’

Reggie N Bollie are not the only artists to have failed in their pursuit of fame through X Factor connections. The pair join a long list including the likes of 2013 winner Sam Bailey and 2011 runner-up Marcus Collins.
